The Club & Spa Chester Pledges to Raise £6,000 for Local Hospice

Chester’s brand new club and spa has promised to raise £6,000 for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd over the next 12 months.

The Club and Spa at Hoole Hall, which is due to open in November, has adopted the charity after a recent visit to the Hospice to see the incredible work staff and volunteers do.

Over the next year the Club and Spa Team will take part in loads of sporting challenges, events and fundraisers to break the £6,000 target.

The Hospice of the Good Shepherd, based in Backford near Chester, provides highly specialised care for people living with all incurable illnesses. Patients come from the communities of Chester, Deeside, Ellesmere Port and rural Cheshire.

Dedicated care is provided totally free of charge to anyone in medical need but all funding comes from the hard work, dedication and generosity of the community and local business.

The Club and Spa at Hoole Hall wants to draw attention to the fact that the Hospice costs more than £6,000 each day to provide the level of specialised care patients and their families deserve, in the hope that other local businesses will follow suit.

Services include a 12 bedded in-patient unit, day hospice and a team of Macmillan Nurses. Medical, nursing, social, emotional and spiritual support is also provided for patients and their families.
