Big Cat Seen in Chester!
Wednesday 25th of January saw us play host to ‘Chester’ the Cat and Jez from Chester’s Dee 106.3 Radio. Local listeners tuned in to hear live links to the club to follow Jez and ‘Chester’ on their day at the club and spa. If you were driving to work past the club during morning peak time and thought you saw a 7ft cat waving at you and dancing roadside, then yes you did! Cheeky ‘Chester’ was outside the club on Warrington road entertaining passers by and welcoming our members and visitors to the club.
‘Chester’ then took part in Kenny’s morning Zumba class. Being an original cast member of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webbers hit musical ‘Cats’, ‘Chester’ was more than confident he could keep up with the ladies of the club and spa… Boy was he wrong! Although he showed great promise to begin with Kenny’s Zumba moves proved too much for our furry friend, ‘Chester’ sadly lost one of his 9 lives whilst booty shaking to Beyonce with all the single ladies! ‘Chester’ was amazing at Zumba and proved to be a big hit with the ladies! Kenny said ‘Chester attacked the moves well and performed every movement with feline elegant and grace, Chester is welcome to my classes anytime my ladies loved him!!!!!’
Jez and ‘Chester’ then went to meet Emily our personal trainer. Emily won the club and spa employee of the year 2011. Emily gave them both some information and advice on training programs, classes and world class equipment available here at the club. Emily said ‘ I really enjoy working at the club and spa , we are so different to other gym’s we tailor make our programmes to suit the individual. We have a great system where we check in with every member every six weeks and review their training programmes. This system of constant monitoring has seen some fantastic results for members. The equipment is amazing to work with , cardio equipment with tv, games, radio stations available makes the workout fun and makes the time fly by!’
At the spa Jez and Chester met with Rebecca our Senior therapist and Pevonia Therapist of the year 2011. The boys enjoyed a luxury fish pedicure. Jez and ‘Chester’ found the fish to ‘tickle at first but then become relaxing’ With perfect paws the boys relaxed in our luxury dream wave room before ending their visit with a Hot Stone massage. A perfect way to end a fun filled day, the treatment was so relaxing and luxurious it had ‘Chester’ purring!
All in all a great day was had by all. ‘Chester was a big hit with members and is welcome at the club anytime. We hope local listeners had as much fun as we had!
